Cannes 2024: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Dazzles in Sparkling Red Carpet Outfit

Is it really Cannes Film Festival without Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red carpet magic? The Cannes veteran, a fixture among Bollywood celebrities at the festival, graced the red carpet at the screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” on Thursday. Representing the beauty brand L’Oreal Paris, Aishwarya dazzled the French Riviera in a dramatic black-and-white gown with balloon sleeves and a touch of sparkle, designed by Falguni Shane Peacock. Her show-stopping ensemble was complemented by simple elegance: loosely tied hair and golden hoops. Notably, she was seen with a cast on her hand as she posed for photographs.

Earlier in the day, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived in the French Riviera with her travel companion, daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. They received a warm welcome at Cannes with a bouquet and were spotted at Hotel Martinez. The duo was also seen at the Mumbai airport the previous night, with Aishwarya wearing an arm sling.

This year marks Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s 22nd appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. Over the years, the former Miss World has delivered some of the most memorable red carpet looks. Last year, she turned heads with a silver gown featuring a giant black bow and an even larger silver hood and train.

Aishwarya’s Cannes journey began in 2002, debuting on the red carpet in a Neeta Lulla saree and heavy gold jewelry for the premiere of her film “Devdas,” accompanied by co-star Shah Rukh Khan and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The following year, she served on the Cannes jury.

Joining Aishwarya at Cannes this year are fellow actors Aditi Rao Hydari, Shobita Dhulipala, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Kiara Advani. Urvashi Rautela has also shared pictures from the French Riviera, and “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” actress Deepti Sadhwani made her red carpet debut on Wednesday.
